Professional Education Advisory Committee (PEAC)

The Professional Education Advisory Committee (PEAC) was established to provide advice and guidance to the IMU on matters relating to the education and training of students enrolled in the professional undergraduate, postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes at the IMU.

The major responsibility of PEAC is to ensure that the IMU has effective, continuous processes in place to assure that its educational programmes are of the highest quality. PEAC will work closely with the Deans of the various faculties and submit an annual report to the Board of Governors.

Academic Council (AC)
The AC consists of the Deans or their representatives from the Partner Medical Schools together with all members of the IMU Senate, and its meetings are held annually. It acts as a consultative body with regard to the medical programme of the IMU, and makes recommendations on admissions, curriculum, assessment and faculty appointments and development. In addition, the AC determines the method of transfer of students to partner schools. Its members serve as contact persons between the IMU and partner schools.
