International e-Journal of Science, Medicine & Education (IeJSME) is established by the International Medical University, Malaysia, with the intention to provide a forum for disseminating quality articles of important scientific merit to the international research community on the three areas of:
Basic Science,
Clinical Science (including Healthcare Quality and Service Research)and,
Medical Education Research.
All manuscripts are subjected to the process of peer-review and if accepted, will be published solely in an open-accessed electronic format in IeJSME website to enable unlimited access for everyone in the international community.
The e-Journal is committed to providing decisions on submitted manuscripts within three months of their receipt. Articles of special importance will be considered for early pre-Issue publication with agreement from the authors.
IeJSME will strive to adhere to the code of conduct and guidelines set by The Committee on Publication Ethics (www.publicationethics.org.uk) in all its endeavors. IeJSME will also apply to National Library of Medicine (NLM) to be indexed by Medline whenever it becomes eligible to do so.
The e-Journal welcomes submission of:
Original articles of primary research conducted,
Review articles that offer in-depth discussion on matters of recent topical concerns,
Research Notes, a special section dedicated to (A) publication of preliminary observations of scientific importance, and (B) publishing research findings of undergraduate healthcare students (e.g. medical, nursing, pharmacy and dental students) with the view to encouraging research thinking and culture, and
Correspondence that comments on published articles in IeJSME
For the purpose of this journal, only Case Reports of exceptional merit are considered for publication.
IeJSME is initially planned for twice-a-year publication.
