The conference provides a platform for health professional educators in the region to exchange experiences and to identify challenges in educating tomorrow’s health professionals. With the presence of regional medical schools as participants, this conference aims to foster co-operation and reinforce networking. The five important aspects in health professionals education issues, i.e. the curriculum; the student; the teacher; management & governance and accreditation will be our main focus.
There will be interactive forums using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach of a trigger followed by audience participation; three debates on “hot” topics; and some plenaries addressing emerging issues on medical education. Free papers are also invited. Prizes will be given for the three best posters. Six pre-conference workshops are also planned one day before the conference to complement the conference’s programme.
With an impressive line-up of speakers from more than 25 leading medical universities in the world, we believe all participants will gain immensely from the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
