Title: The title should be explicit.
Narrative: The abstract narrative should be no more than 300 words. Use 11 point Arial font, and single spacing. Please define all abbreviations and concepts in your abstract at first use. The abstract should include the following:
a. Background: Indicating the objective(s) of your investigation and your research question.
b. Methods: An explanation of the study design and experimental methods used.
c. Results: The essential results observed in summary form. Sufficient quantitative data and statistical tests should be presented. Statements like "to be completed" are not acceptable.
d. Conclusion(s): Conclusions should be supported by the findings within your results.
[Concept papers need not adhere strictly to this guideline. The background, description and conclusions/ recommendations are sufficient]
Medium: Please prepare your abstract and poster in English. Avoid grammatical errors and misspellings. If English is not your primary language, please try to have your work reviewed by a person with good command of English.
Authors: Type the full name, affiliation, and complete address, for EVERY author listed. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
Other issues: All possible patent matters should be resolved by the author(s) before submission of an abstract.
Preference: Please mark your presentation preference: oral (O) , poster (P) or either (E)
Please assure all the following points before submitting an abstract:
- All authors are aware that their name will appear on the abstract and all authors agree to the submission and presentation of the results.
- I understand that if this abstract is accepted, IMU will hold the copyright.
- I also understand that my poster (and/or oral presentation) may be photographed, videotaped and/or recorded via other media during presentation.
- I understand that I and my co-author(s) must have clarified all possible patent and copyright issues before submission. All issues that may possibly be involved with my presentation must be covered.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts if necessary for clarity, grammar, style, and length. The decision of the Scientific Committee is final
Deadline: All abstracts must be received on or before Thursday, 31 December 2009. Abstracts will only be accepted subject to payment
of registration fee.
