Introduction

The International Medical University (IMU), in collaboration with the Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (MSPTM), is organising a mid-year seminar on the theme, “Relevance and Importance of Tropical Medicine”. This seminar is an annual meeting of members of the MSPTM. For this particular year, the mid-year seminar is organised in honour of Prof Mak Joon Wah in recognition of his immense contributions to Tropical Medicine and Public Health. Therefore, non-members are also welcomed. There will be three plenary talks related to past, current and future development in tropical medicine in Malaysia and in this region. There is no registration fee but participants are required to register.

Poster Competition

The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students who are attending this seminar. Stand a chance to win attractive prizes below:

First prize      : RM 1500 cash and certificate
Second prize : RM 1000 cash and certificate
Third prize    : RM 500 cash and certificate

Winners will be announced at the end of this seminar. All participants of this poster competition will be receiving an
e-Certificate of Participation.

Submission of abstract for poster presentation and competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
