To be eligible to apply into the IMU programme, students must have an acceptable pre-University qualification or a good science degree. In addition to academic ability, the IMU looks for excellence in co-curricular activities and good communication skills.

Minimum Grades for Eligibility to Apply
Please note that the grades required for admission into the respective programmes may be higher due to competitiveness of the admission exercise. The IMU reserves the right to change these entry requirements from time to time.

Nursing Programme
* For Entry into Year 1 Level of Study - Pre-U Level	Minimum Grade Requirement
A-Levels	Pass in 2 subjects
STPM	cGPA 2.0
Ministry of Education (MOE) Matriculation	cGPA 2.0
UEC (Senior Middle III)	At least B6 in five subjects, including three science subjects. For Art students, credits in Biology and Mathematics, and a pass in English at SPM level
Malaysian University English Test (MUET)	Band 3

* For Entry into Year 2

Certificate in Nursing with 5 years working experience. Diploma in Nursing (Minimum cGPA 2.67). Registered with the Nursing Board in respective countries and must be certified by the Malaysian Nursing Board.

* For Entry into Year 3

Certificate in Nursing with Post-basic (6 months). Diploma in Nursing with 2 years working experience (Minimum cGPA 2.67). Registered with the Nursing Board in respective countries and must be certified by the Malaysian Nursing Board.

* Malaysian students are required to sit for the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
* The IMU reserves the right to change these entry requirements from time to time.
* Students from both the Arts and Science streams can apply Nursing or Psychology programme.
