What is studying medicine or health sciences programmes likes? Is it interesting? Is Medicine the course for me? What other health sciences programmes may be suitable for me? What am I supposed to study after SPM to get into these programmes?

There are some of the questions a student may ask after having completed their SPM or STPM examinations. To help them address some of these questions, the University organises Student Exploratory Workshop (SEW).

Our Exploratory Workshop offers you unique opportunities to get a taste of the real thing to help you decide on your career.

Providing students the opportunity to explore medical and health sciences programmes and their career pathways. Student will be able to sample student life in an international medical university and have practical hands-on experience in these programme.

Among the activities organised for the workshops include a visit the medical museum to have a look at real human specimens, an opportunity to create their own hand cream, learning about the classification of food and how to calculate BMI (Body Mass Index), learning about food borne diseases and DNA staining.

At the workshop, students also had the opportunity to learn about stress management, time management and study skills. Career tests were given to students to find out the student’s interests and the possible career paths they may follow in Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Nursing, Medical Biotechnology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Psychology, Biomedical Science and Chiropractic).
