Speaker - Topic: From Community Counter to Global Policy: How Pharmacists Shape Healthier Communities


Ng Yi Ling is a pharmacist, Professional Care and Development Manager at Alpro Pharmacy, and President of the International Pharmaceutical Federation Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (FIP ECPG). She is passionate about advancing community pharmacy as a platform for preventive care, patient empowerment, and public health impact. In her current role, she leads the development of professional pharmacy services, training, and health initiatives that strengthen pharmacists’ contribution beyond medicine supply, including screening, counselling, safe medicine disposal, and community-based health programmes.

She is also actively involved in professional advocacy through the Malaysian Pharmacists Society and credentialing-related initiatives that support the advancement and recognition of pharmacists’ roles in healthcare. As an IMU alumna, Yi Ling hopes to inspire future pharmacists to see community pharmacy not as a limited pathway, but as a powerful starting point for local impact, global engagement, and meaningful change.
