What Our Students Say About The Industrial Engagements Initiatives

Pharmaceutical Industry Engagement Activities: Industry engagement activities and industry visits were established to engross our students with experts from different pharmaceutical industries to relate classroom learning and workplace learning. A lot of activities in which the students can directly engage with experts from the Pharmaceutical Industry are integrated in the IMU BPharm (Hons) curriculum. The main objective of these activities to prepare the pharmacists for the leading roles in Production, R&D and Management in Pharmaceutical Industry to ensure the output of globally competitive therapeutics. These activities include presentations on Job opportunities and required skills for fresh BPharm graduates. The experts also emphasize the role and importance of Pharmacists in handling the various tasks in different departments of the pharmaceutical industry.

The industry engagement activities and industry visit conducted in the different semesters of my study so far have been nothing short of eye-opening and very informative. I always look forward to attending any talks by the guest speakers from the industry and experience sharing sessions, as I feel inspired and motivated to follow in their footsteps. I could correlate our theoretical knowledge with the processes being carried out in the pharmaceutical industry. I am lucky to be able to gain such insights about the happenings in various fields such as production, quality control, and marketing in the workforce even when I am still studying. The initiatives taken by our lecturers enabled my learning process to be more meaningful as now I have a clearer vision of where I want to be after I graduate. (BP1/18)
