What is Simulation Operating Theatre (OT)?
The Simulation Operating Theatre (OT) currently available at the CSSC of the Clinical Campus Seremban is specially designed to reflect the actual operating room in a hospital. It is extensively used to train students in perioperative care of patients before, during and after surgery. This simulation-based OT training also encompasses anaesthesia, intensive care medicine and critical emergency medicine. The Simulation OT is well equipped with an operation table, anaesthesia machine with medical gases and pneumatic system, cardiac monitor, emergency trolley, a high-fidelity computerised mannequin with the latest software for simulating physiological and neurological responses; and a computer-based video recording system. This high-fidelity simulation training with realistic patient scenario provides a conducive and immersive training environment that are ideal for students to acquire not only the clinical competencies in perioperative medicine, but also allow students to practise patient safety and teamwork skills through reflective and deliberate practices.
Our virtual tour of the Clinical Campus in Seremban will give you a chance to see our campus and its facilities, including the Simulation Operating Theatre (OT).
