Scholarship and Bursary

This scholarship is awarded to students demonstrating outstanding academic excellence, extra-curricular participation and leadership qualities.

IMU-Merit Scholarship is available to cover:

• Full Tuition Fee (100%) for full duration of programme
• Partial Tuition Fee (50%) for full duration of programme

This scholarship is only applicable to Malaysians applying for the LOCAL option.

Minimum Pre-U Grades Required for IMU-Merit Scholarship Eligibility

Eligibility

• Open to Malaysian students only.
• Applicant must be applying for the First Degree programme.
• Candidates who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements may proceed to apply via online application through our IMU website.
• Scholarship is not applicable for existing students.
• Scholarship is not applicable for students who enroll into MPU intake.
• Students who wish to apply for the Medicine and Dentistry programmes are encouraged to first apply for the programme and obtain an offer of admission prior to submitting a scholarship application.  

How to Apply

• Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents to be assessed by Scholarship Committee Members
  • • Personal Statement
    • SPM Certificate, or equivalent
    • Foundation Certificate, or equivalent
    • IMU Letter of Offer/ IMU Conditional Letter of Offer
    • Co-Curricular Certificate with cGPA
    • IELTS/MUET Certificate or equivalent
• After the closing date, selected candidates will be called for an interview. The successful candidate will be required to sign a scholarship agreement.

Scholarship Details

• All scholarships will only cover the tuition fees and no allowance for living expenses, books and study-related equipment is provided.
• The amount will be disbursed on a semester to semester basis.
• Students are required to maintain the required minimum cGPA of 3.30 per semester in order to continue with the scholarship. Failing which, the scholarship may be discontinued with immediate effect.
• Students who withdraw (academic and non-academic reasons) without completing the programme will be required to repay the amount that has been disbursed for the financial award given.
• Repeat modules will not be covered.
• IMU Scholarship Committee may vary the selection requirements as and when it deems necessary

• Scholarship is not applicable for existing students.
• Scholarship is not applicable for students who enroll into MPU intake.

• Copy of Parents’ Death / Divorce Certificate
• Latest 3 months of house water bill
• Latest 3 months of house electricity bill

• • Business Administration with Healthcare Management – 25% reduction of tuition fees
  • Business Administration – 25% reduction of tuition fees
  • Digital Health – 20% reduction of tuition fees
  • Bioveterinary Science – RM 30,000 reduction of tuition fees
  • Food Science Innovation – A RM15,000 Global Leadership Scholarship is available, with an additional RM10,000 offered only to students joining the programme in September.
  • Chiropractic – RM10,000 reduction of tuition fees
  • Cosmetic Science – RM 30,000 reduction of tuition fees
  • Nutrition – RM 30,000 reduction of tuition fees

The Aspire Scholarship is applicable to all Undergraduate Programmes under the local pathway, with the exception of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing ODL. The scholarship is open throughout the year and is available to students whose academic results fulfil the entry requirements.
