Dr Elizabeth Krajic Kachur is the Director of Medical Education Development, Global Consulting. She is based in New York City and works as a consultant with multiple institutions in the US and elsewhere. Her medical education practice spans from curriculum to faculty development, learner assessment to program evaluation.
Dr Kachur’s academic background is in Clinical Psychology and thus, her deep interest in Psychological Safety. After working for Einstein Medical College, Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and New York Medical College, Dr Kachur became an independent consultant in 1997. Over the years she developed and was involved in many international training events in North and South America, Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa. She has published widely and is co-editor of a book on OSCEs. She has presented at more than 200 national and international conferences, both in-person and virtually.
She is a Fellow of AMEE and a member of various other organizations devoted to health professions education: Academy for Professionalism in Health Care (APHC), Association for SP Educators (ASPE), Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). This work includes being the Chair of the AMEE ASPIRE Award Panel for Innovative and Inspirational Approaches to HPE, Co-Chair of the APHC International Conference Planning Committee, Member of the ASPE International Committee and member of the SSH Psychological Safety Affinity Group.
