Dr Kye MMS is a dedicated Associate Professor of Education Research with a diverse and background in both medical and educational disciplines. She holds an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), MRCGP (International), PhD in Public Health, M.Med.Sc in Public Health, M.Med.Ed in Medical Education, GCFM in Family Medicine, and a PGCert in Clinical Education. She is also a fellow member of HEA, UK. Her educational journey has provided a strong foundation for their work as an educator and researcher. With 18 years of experience in Public Health, Research and Medical Education, she has honoured her expertise in these critical areas.
Her commitment to academic excellence is further exemplified by her role as a member of the curriculum development committee of the Master of Public Health program, UTAR and the curriculum review committee for the Master of Medical Education at the University of Malaya. Her involvement extends beyond research and teaching, as she is an editorial member and reviewer for peer-reviewed indexed journals. Her research interests encompass medical education, epidemiology, public health, and primary care research, resulting in the publication of 40 articles, including Cochrane systematic reviews.
Her particular interests in medical education are educational theories, assessment and evaluation, teaching and learning, leadership and management in medical education and research in medical education. Her previous experiences include supervising Master's and Doctor of Philosophy candidates in Medical Science, and her current responsibilities include facilitating candidates for certificate and master's degrees in medical education. She is actively engaged in coordinating grant applications as a member of the review committee, as well as organising Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities in collaboration with other institutions. As an invited speaker at various national and international events, she shares expertise on topics related to medical education and research. She has also secured and worked on various research grants.
