Dr. Masood Jawaid is a highly accomplished general surgeon, medical educationist, and researcher, with a strong background in clinical education, artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, and digital learning. He currently serves as Director of Medical Affairs at PharmEvo (Pvt) Ltd and is actively involved in academia as Associate Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences.
With an extensive research portfolio, Dr. Jawaid has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications (h-index: 32) and is the author of two widely recognized books on scientific and medical writing. His work has played a crucial role in advancing research methodology and academic writing in the medical field.
Previously, Dr. Jawaid was an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Head of e-Learning at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), where he spearheaded innovative educational initiatives, including the development of a blended surgical curriculum and a structured 6-week eLearning research module. His expertise in Cognitive Load Theory (CLT), AI-driven education, and online learning methodologies has contributed to the modernization of medical education.
Dr. Jawaid is also a published author, having co-authored the book "Artificial Intelligence for Health Professionals" alongside Dr. Rehan Ahmed Khan. The book provides valuable insights into AI's role in medical education, clinical decision-making, and the future of healthcare, making it a key resource for educators, clinicians, and researchers.
Beyond his academic and research contributions, Dr. Jawaid is a renowned speaker and workshop facilitator, regularly conducting training sessions on surgical skills, research methodology, digital education, AI applications in healthcare, and journal publishing. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at multiple medical universities, shaping the future of medical education, surgical training, and AI-driven healthcare advancements.
