Naveed Yousuf (Pakistan)

Dr Naveed Yousuf has a longstanding relationship with Aga Khan University, spanning over 15 years. He has served in various leadership positions, including as Associate Director, Assessment and Research at the Examination Board for seven years. He was the Chair of the Department for Educational Development, Medical College from 2022 – 2025. Currently, he is the CEO of the Examination Board. Celebrated for his national contributions towards student assessments, Dr Yousuf received AKU’s University Innovation Impact Award of Distinction in 2022. An esteemed educator, Dr Yousuf received AKU’s Outstanding Teacher Award in 2012 and Faculty Development Award in 2013. He is an Honorary Advisor on Psychometrics for the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) South Asia Region and a founding member of the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) Recognition Committee for developing international standards for examinations worldwide. Dr Yousuf received his PhD in Medical Education focusing on assessment psychometrics and standard setting from Ambrosiana University (Italy) in 2014 and a Fellowship from the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA) on assessment, test development and generalizability theory in 2013.
