Dr Rina Masadah is a dedicated academic and medical professional who has been serving as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Indonesia, since 1996. She teaches Pathology Anatomy across multiple levels, including undergraduate medical students, pathology anatomy residents, as well as master’s and PhD students. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she also practices as a pathologist at Hasanuddin University Hospital.
Dr Masadah graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, in 1991 and completed her specialist training in Pathology Anatomy in 2003. She earned her Master of Philosophy from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2006, and her PhD through a sandwich program between Hasanuddin University and Radboud University, the Netherlands, in 2013.
With a strong interest in medical education, she has also completed professional development courses, including the Essential Skills in Medical Education (ESME) in 2019. Her teaching experience spans large group lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials, where she actively engages students in learning and critical thinking.
Dr Masadah is also an active researcher with a focus on oncology and medical education. Her passion lies in teaching and mentoring, and she finds great fulfillment in interacting with and supporting her students throughout their academic journey.
