Dr. Sana Iqbal – Educator, Researcher, and Innovator in Medical Education. Dr. Sana Iqbal is a dedicated medical educationist, researcher, and academic leader with a strong background in curriculum reform, assessment, and AI integration in academia. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Education at IIDC, where she actively contributes to faculty development, research supervision, and curriculum innovation.
With a master’s in health professions education (MHPE) and a CHPE from Riphah International University, Sana has over three years of experience in medical education. Her journey in academia began after six years as a demonstrator in pharmacology, followed by her transition into medical education. She is passionate about student-centered learning, assessment standardization, and fostering collaboration.
She has introduced AI curriculum content at IIDC, emphasizing the ethical and legal dimensions of AI in education. She also supervises Delphi studies and actively supports junior faculty in research development. Published articles in various high impact journals.
Beyond academia, Sana is a mentor, collaborator, and lifelong learner. She is passionate about empowering students and faculty with innovative strategies therefore conducted multiple faculty development workshops and presented papers in various international conferences since 2019.
