Dr. Surapaneni Krishna Mohan is a renowned Medical Teacher and a leading Researcher in the fields of Biochemistry, Medical Education, Bioethics and Population Health Informatics. He currently serves as the Vice Principal & Professor of Biochemistry, Head of the Department of Medical Education at Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Chennai, India. Dr. SKM also leads the Association Medical Education Europe – International Networking Centre (AMEE-INC), Bioethics Unit and Clinical Skills & Simulation at Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Chennai, India.

Driven by an unwavering passion not only for Medical Biochemistry but also for enhancing global Medical Education and shaping the future healthcare professionals, Dr. SKM was awarded the prestigious CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute Fellowship (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, USA) in 2009. His expertise in Medical Education is further evidenced by the award of prestigious Joint Masters in Health Professions Education (JMHPE), from Maastricht University, The Netherlands, and Suez Canal University, Egypt; Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Keele University, UK. Further, Dr. SKM has ignited his skills in Medical Education through the attainment of "AMEE Specialist Certificate in Medical Education" by the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), UK.

With over 21 years of excellence as a medical teacher, Dr. SKM is renowned for his exemplary teaching skills and ability to design highly effective learning resources that enhance student understanding and engagement. Dr. SKM has authored over 304 scientific peer-reviewed publications in various national and international journals indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, with high-impact factor, contributing to the advancement in the fields of Clinical Biochemistry and Medical Education. His expertise in Medical Education / Health Professions Education (HPE) profoundly shapes his teaching methods in biochemistry, allowing him to integrate cutting-edge educational strategies and tools. His dedication to excellence has earned him numerous awards at national and international level.
