Ms. Chong Pek Sam is an experienced nurse with over 20 years of clinical nursing experience, specializing in oncology care. She has served as a lecturer at the IMU University, Malaysia, for the past 16 years, with more than a decade dedicated to health professions education. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary teaching and training across the healthcare spectrum. She regularly conducts Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification Trainings, aligned with internationally recognized standards such as those set by the American Heart Association (AHA), catering to medical, dental, and allied healthcare professionals. Her contributions extend to educational research, simulated patient (SP) training and development, caregiver, and first aid training. She has also facilitated sessions at simulation-based education conferences in Malaysia and actively promotes the use of simulation in clinical teaching to improve student learning and patient safety.
