The University of Aberdeen is immensely proud to have been one of five original partner medical schools with the International Medical College in 1992. Our shared graduates shine a light on the power of this collaboration: caring for patients; undertaking community work; achieving academic distinction; and some even learning to wear the kilt!

We send heartfelt congratulations and thanks to IMU. We value the ongoing influences to our curricula, the friendships and the significant benefits that come from being part of the unique worldwide network of IMU partners.  We are excited for the possibilities of the next 25 years.

This relationship is held in high regard and it is with my warmest wishes that I congratulate all staff and students of the IMU, past and present, on this 25th anniversary. Over its 25 years, IMU has grown to be an impressive provider of an education in medical and health sciences in South East Asia. It has given Malaysia the opportunity to educate its own doctors, and its students are also able to gain valuable experience at partner universities abroad through its programmes. ANU is proud to be a partner of this university since 2009 and 26 students have graduated since the commencement of the partnership.

It is a major achievement to develop and grow a university focused on health. The link between the Medical School at the University of Dundee was established at the inception of IMU and has grown stronger over the years.
