Keeping Up with the Trend : Digital Transformation In Nursing Education – Are We Innovative Enough?

The IMU Nursing Division in collaboration with the E-learning division conducted a CPD event on “Digital Transformation in Nursing Education – Are We Innovative Enough?” on 7 October 2021, where nearly 40 participants registered for the event.

The keynote speaker was Muhamad Amin Bin Ahmad Zaki (Nursing lecturer, Universiti Teknologi Mara – UITM) who spoke on Digital Transformation in Nursing and Nursing Education. He highlighted on the changes that is happening in Nursing Education due to the pandemic specifically on online teaching and the need for nursing educators to learn new skills in order to cope with these changes. The second speaker was Hasnain Zafar Baloch (e-Learning Manager, IMU), who spoke on the WOW factors to online teaching where he shared various interesting apps available to be used to keep students engaged during online teaching other than for assessment and monitoring purposes.

Following that is a forum where three speakers shared their experiences on the challenges and how they managed online classes during the pandemic.

The participants enjoyed the hands-on sessions as they were very interactive and engaging other than finding the information very useful for their online teaching in future.
