WINNER 2012

Wilkinson Tan Yoong Jian

"As a student, my early involvement in social work, caring for the elderly and children has enabled me to understand the needs of people and has instilled in me that care and compassion are an integral part of health care providers. My experience in my work with people in remote areas has helped me to understand that every person has the right to proper medical care and help. Working in such areas has helped me to organize myself to be able to withstand hardships and barriers to reach people who need medical care wherever and whenever needed."
