Cashier

Job Responsibilities

  • Key-in accurate charges and other relevant details related to the service incurred by the customer.
  • Accurate issuing of tax invoices, receipts, preparation of documentation for refund, credits or change to customers.
  • Daily closing of the cashier counter by adhering to the cash-count procedure, confirming cash and credit card amount, compiling and filing of relevant documents and storing them at the designated place.
  • Prepare the Daily Collection Form and adhering to cut-off time for cash submission to Chief Cashier or, where applicable, performing banking transaction of the cash collection.
  • Strictly ensure proper safekeeping of cash throughout the shift, and upon the end of shift by ensuring that cash is properly stored at the designated secure location.
  • Daily hand-over of invoices and panel’s credit sales/transaction or equivalent to Credit Control.
  • Adhere to the agreement stipulated in the Cashier’s Declaration.
  • Maintain proper and systematic filing system of daily, monthly and quarterly cashiering.
  • Proper handling of confidential information and records of patients.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM/STPM with credit in Mathematic and English.

Chinese Medicine Assistant

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chinese Medicine Physicians in monitoring patients’ condition while treatment is taking place.
  • Promptly reports to the Chinese Medicine Physician the progress of patients or any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Accurate packaging and dispensing of Chinese Medicine herbs to patients.
  • Ensure professional attitudes and conducts toward patients through kindness and empathy so as to meet or exceed patients’ expectations.
  • Accurate documentation of the treatment carried-out.
  • Proper handling of confidential information and records of patients.
  • Keeps work area clean, well-organized with sufficient items and consumables, and in safe condition at all time.
  • Assist in ensuring the Chinese Medicine herbs are stored following the regulatory requirement and are available at all time with up-to-date documentation/record.
  • Assist in ensuring the items and consumables such as acupuncture needles are available at all time.
  • Assist in running daily maintenance checking/calibration on equipment and herb packaging machine before clinic sessions begin.
  • Assist in keeping proper records of daily and periodic maintenance checking/calibration of equipment and relevant documents in relation to Chinese Medicine herbs.
  • Captures all charges for the treatment or sales of items accurately and timely.
  • Careful handling and preservation of apparatus and material to maintain cost effectiveness.

Chiropractor

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive services in the form of accurate assessment including accurate diagnosis of patients’ conditions and medical histories and appropriate treatment/management including manual adjustments and other therapeutic modalities, and thorough documentation so that customers’ needs are being met.
  • Keeping up-to-date knowledge or take active part in Continuous Professional Development to upgrade knowledge and, where possible, take part in research activities that contribute to evidence based practice so that patient will get the best standard of care.
  • Assist in the daily supervision of Chiropractic Assistants so that they can perform under the set standard during the delivery of service to customers to ensure customers’ needs are constantly and accurately met.
  • Assist in the supervision of Junior and Resident Chiropractors through involvement in clinical and administrative meetings/discussions to ensure high standard of services are provided to customers.
  • Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and policies and maintaining effective interdepartmental relationship to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery.

  • Assist in ensuring operations are conducted in cost-effective or within budget to ensure achievement of forecast revenue and profit for the ICC without compromising on quality of service offered.
  • Contribute ideas in business development and other activities related to expansion of business and new infrastructure including marketing of new services so as to ensure constant growth of ICC.
  • Take part in the provision of in-service education to public and professionals to ensure increase of awareness on chiropractic.
  • Take part in the IMUH promotional activities to ensure chiropractic services are properly marketed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chiropractic from a recognized University with at least 3 year working experience in clinical area.
  • A member of Association of Chiropractor Malaysia and/or other relevant/recognized Associations.
  • Knowledgeable and clinically competent in Chiropractic assessment and treatment.

CSSD Attendant

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for control of all parts of the sterilization process: decontamination; preparation, pack, sterilize; documentation of sterilization; and sterile storage
  • Provide integrity and sterility of products and services for the customers.
  • Work in conjunction with the DSA and students to provide timely sterile products for the respective clinics.
  • Maintain consistency and continuous workflow between the clinics and Central Sterile Service Sterile Room while practicing excellent customer service.
  • Operate and maintain Steris reliance machine; keep records of loads completed, items of loads and maintenance procedures performed.

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate records to remain compliant with applicable regulatory agencies, as well as reporting occurrences immediately to Manager.

  • Maintain inventories of instruments in OHC and update inventory regularly.
  • Attend in-service presentations, including but not limited to infection control, patient safety, quality improvement, MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Report defective equipment to staff or Manager.

IMU Hospital Project Accounting

  • Set up Project Accounts in the IMU’s accounting system.
  • Establish the developmental budget for IMU Hospital: construction costs, Capex (medical and non-medical; fixtures & furnishing); Opex (including stock and manpower).
  • Maintain and monitor project-related records, including contracts, change orders, insurances, bonds, certificates, etc.
  • Monitor project performance, determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators for critical metrics.
  • Project budgeting and forecasting processes; administer and review all plans against actual results with a view to identify, explain and correct variances as appropriate.
  • Accurate tracking of operating costs and capital expenditure and manpower needs for Hospital project.
  • Analyze schedule and cost trends, maintain project schedule & cost forecast throughout the project including preparation of monthly cost reports.
  • Maintain the billing folders with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, invoices & reimbursable.
  • Review, verify, prepare and process consultants’, contractors’ and vendors’ claim.
  • Ensure timely payment to consultant, contractors and vendors after approval is received and all paperwork has been submitted.
  • Keeping track and verify all figures on the Project Status Report from consultant/contractor and complete Project Accounting section on a monthly basis.
  • Provide insights of project work in progress, collections, risks, opportunities and cash flow.
  • Present all financial data in a transparent way, attends project and management review to present cost & budget status.
  • Actively reviewing and recommending measures for continuous improvement in reporting processes.
  • Review, verify, prepare and process Final Accounts upon project completion and within the allocated timeline.

IMU Healthcare Finance (daily operations)

  • Works with CEO Healthcare and CFO IMUE to develop the Healthcare Limits of Authority manual
  • Establish monthly reporting format including financial analysis (variances against budget), and present these to the IMU management team.
  • Consolidates all business plan financial forecasts, manpower and operating costs and capital expenditure etc of existing healthcare.
  • Accountability for the yearly audited Financial Statements – working closely with external Auditors.

IMU Healthcare (development & governance)

  • Works with CEO Healthcare and Snr Manager, ACCs, to develop the business plan and financial requirements and all necessary approvals from IMU-H Board for the activation of new ambulatory care centres.
  • Works with the head of Healthcare Front Office/Business Office to develop all financial guiding policies relating to Credit Control, Collections, Billing & Cashiering, Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Works with IMUE Finance & Procurement to develop Healthcare Limits of Authority policies & processes.
  • Works with CEO and HR Healthcare to identify recruitment criteria and performance assessment for all Finance team role holders.
  • Works with Healthcare team and Healthcare IT to develop functional specifications for Healthcare IT applications ‘hospital information system’ and related modules in Inventory & Supply Chain and drive the procurement process and implementation of the applications.
  • Manage the interface between Healthcare Finance and IMUE Finance applications where appropriate.
  • Works with Healthcare team to develop Risk profiling and monitoring.
  • Develops the Charge Description Master or CDM for all Healthcare pricing.
  • Works with HR/Finance of Healthcare and IMUE to implement and monitor Faculty clinicians’ performance incentives.
  • Works with IMUE Finance to develop 3-year rolling CAPEX and  OPEX budgets and financial forecasting.

Job Requirements

  • Possess professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of running healthcare business at managerial level.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of implementation of HIS and Financial software; exposure to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Possess knowledge in Financial planning, business planning and forecasting.
  • Hands-on ability to run IRR and similar investment reviews.
