ABOUT FOUNDATION IN SCIENCE
The IMU Foundation in Science (FiS) provides the academic preparation required for admission into a science-related degree. Students will be equipped with strong fundamental knowledge and skills to pursue study in the areas of medicine and health sciences.
Subject to specific entry requirement, the completion of the Foundation in Science will allow students to gain entry into IMU degree programmes or to other degree programmes in Malaysian universities as it is a MQA accredited programme.
Students will enjoy the exposure to science given by IMU lecturers through workshops, seminars, experiments in the laboratories or lectures by visiting professors from IMU’s partner universities. This opportunity will build the students’ interest in a particular field and help students to choose the pathway leading to their career choice.

The programme was developed by a team of education experts led by Dr. Chia Chee Fen, Assistant Director for IMU Centre for Education. Both of these key figures have extensive professional experience in education.
