APUCEN Gives Special Award to IMU Chariofare

At the recently concluded 3rd Summit Conference of the Asia-Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) in Penang, IMU Chariofare was given a Special Award in the Inaugural International Youth Volunteer Award under the Entrepreneurship Category as the International Panel of Judges recognised the achievements of Chariofare and that it can serve as a “model” for other member institutions. Special APUCEN Award The special award came with a trophy, a certificate and cash prize of US2,000 and was presented by the Hon. Minister of Higher Education at the opening ceremony in the presence of representatives from 44 institutions from Asia Pacific countries. APUCEN has 90 member institutions from 19 countries. For the award, a total of 61 entries were received. Thank you to all IMU staff, students, sponsors and the supporting public who have actively contributed, over the past 5 years and more, to make IMU Chariofare such a great success. From 2012-2016, we have raised more than Rm850,000 for charity.
