Countering Sedentary and Unhealthy Lifestyle

Most of the workforce spends more than half of their waking hours at the workplace and leads sedentary lifestyle. To counter this, IMU launched its Wellness programme on 11 May 2017 to promote overall wellness amongst the staff and students of IMU. This was launched by Deputy Minister of Health Malaysia, His Honourable Dato’ Seri Dr Hilmi Bin Haji Yahaya. He also presented the university with the “Kafeteria Sihat” (Healthy Cafeteria) and “MyBeSS” awards for its Pandan Serai Café. IMU is the first university in Malaysia to receive such awards by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia.
