IMU Researcher’s Dual Achievements in Healthcare Artificial Intelligence

We are pleased to announce that Dr Elaine Chan Wan Ling from the Institute for Research, Development and Innovation (IRDI), International Medical University (IMU) was awarded a Research Consortium Grant from the Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to develop Artificial Intelligence for Digital Pathology.

The Research Consortium Grant was awarded jointly to

An IMU researcher, Dr Elaine Chan Wan Ling was awarded a Research Consortium Grant and was sponsored to represent Malaysia in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) Program.An IMU researcher, Dr Elaine Chan Wan Ling was awarded a Research Consortium Grant and was sponsored to represent Malaysia in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) Program.

On top of that, Dr Elaine was also selected to represent Malaysia in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) Program under the sponsorship of the Royal Academy of Engineering, United Kingdom (UK).

The LIF Program brings together the emerging leaders in the global innovation community, providing them with
Access to high-quality skills training focused on commercialisation
A network of peers in their own country, the UK and around the world, and
A rich and varied experience with immediate and long-term benefits for their innovations

One-to-one expert mentoring sessions are provided throughout the programme. The programme has cultivated interests in entrepreneurship and developed many innovations that have the potential to contribute to the social and economic development of their country.

An IMU researcher, Dr Elaine Chan Wan Ling was awarded a Research Consortium Grant and was sponsored to represent Malaysia in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) Program.

With her passion and keen interest in artificial intelligence (AI), Dr Elaine has been actively involved in developing new algorithm for computer vision in digital cytology and pathology, as well as creating a solution to provide academic curriculum vitae (CV) profiling and citation tools for managing scholarly reputation in just a few clicks.
