Empowering Healthcare: VIDANEX’s AI-Powered Pathology Solution Presented to Malaysian Prime Minister

22 Feb 2024

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020, or nearly one in six deaths. In most cancers, early detection means a higher chance of survival. However, until now, for cancer diagnosis, we are still depending on experts to manually view each slide under the microscope. This excludes the time required to transport the slides.

Vidanex, the first spin off company of the International Medical University, is co-founded by A/Prof Elaine Chan Wan Ling in November 2023. Vidanex is a company with a mission. We are here to path the future of healthcare integrating AI with medical imaging solutions.

Our team consists of medical experts, AI scientists, clinicians and healthcare providers from both the university and the industries. As a team, we bring extensive experience from the healthcare industry in medical imaging and machine learning merging the gap of technology and healthcare in the development of MedTech solutions.

VIDANEX’s AI-driven pathology solution accelerates cancer diagnosis by delivering swift and precise results through advanced algorithms.

The solution aims to reduce diagnostic timelines/delay, ensuring quicker interventions, and enhancing patient outcomes with timely targeted/personalised treatment. We are here to path the future of healthcare by integrating AI with medical imaging solutions.

On 16 January 2024, Vidanex as a startup had the opportunity to present its artificial intelligent (AI)-driven pathology solution to Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

This event was held in conjunction with the launching of AI untuk Rakyat programme by MyDigital at University Putra Malaysia.

We hope that through this solution, we can speed up the cancer diagnosis process, especially in remote areas and hence the potential to save many lives.
