IMU Graduate Wins Miss Malaysia Indian Global Beauty Pageant

IMU Nursing graduate, Harnesh Kaur, who graduated in 2010 took the title of Miss Malaysia Indian Global 2012 last Friday. The Kuching-born nurse beat out 13 finalists, including first runner-up pharmacist Michelle Marie Shelton, 25, and second runner-up financial analyst Santhia Devi Chandra Das, 26. “I am now working as a nurse at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore and plan to return to Malaysia after gaining experience there”, said Harnesh to The Malay Mail Lifestyle. Harnesh, 25, impressed the dinner audience of 400 including the panel of seven judges at Hilton Petaling Jaya Hotel with her general knowledge and her ability to answer the questions well. She also bestowed the subsidiary titles of Miss Heritage, Eco Beauty and Web Popular. Crowned by last year’s winner, Vandhana Krishna, Harnesh received gifts and a round trip to London, Paris and Brussels worth RM25,000.
