IMU’s Dean and Lecturer, School of Health Sciences Re-elected as Members of MDA Council

23 July 2019 – IMU’s Dean, School of Health Sciences, Prof Winnie Chee Siew Swee was elected as President of the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association while Ng Ai Kah was appointed as Honorary Treasurer at the 25th Annual General Meeting of the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA) held in Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. IMU Alumni shares their experience studying the University's MSc in Public Health programme. This year, 2019. is an election year for MDA and 12 brilliant candidates stepped forward to be elected as MDA 14th Council Members. At this election, the MDA members exercised their rights and elected the council members, who will serve MDA for the term of 2019 – 2021. Previously, Prof Winnie Chee Siew Swee was one of the founder Council members of MDA in 1994 and served as Secretary. She was then elected as President from 2004 to 2005. She returned to serve as president for 3 terms since 2013. Meanwhile, Ng Ai Kah has served the council as the Honorary Treasurer for two terms from 2011 to 2015. She has played a key role in improving the financial management of the MDA accounts. Congratulations to Prof Winnie Chee Siew Swee and Ng Ai Kah!
