9 October – 12 October 2014- 5 fourth year Pharmacy students from International Medical University (IMU) had the opportunity to present their research projects as poster presentations at the 25th Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) Congress 2014 at Sutera Harbour Resort, Kota Kinabalu. About 1,200 delegates, including pharmacy students from other Malaysian universities and universities abroad, attended the congress. FAPA2 During the various symposia and plenary lectures, the students had the opportunity to learn about advanced technology on pharmacy and current and past achievements in the pharmacy field. This congress served as a platform for the students to get more knowledge in different research fields in pharmacy such as industrial, community, hospital and clinical pharmacy, phytopharmacy and pharmacy education, as many posters, oral presentations and plenary lectures took place. For instance, the plenary on “Innovative Pharmacy Practice through Cutting Edge Robotic Technology” by Mr. Gerard Stevens from Australia was interesting as we learned about the benefit of this technology in the hospital pharmacy. The students also had the chance to network and make many friends from different countries such as Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines and Japan.
