IMU Psychology Students Learn About Opportunities at University of Strathclyde

2 April 2014 – Approximately 10-15 students with a few faculty members from the Division of Psychology, International Medical University (IMU) attended a talk by Dr Steve Kelly, Director, MSc Research Methods from University of Strathclyde. The talk was on the opportunities available for students who wish to transfer to University of Strathclyde for completion of their psychology programme or students who would like to spend some time at University of Strathclyde under the student mobility programme. Most of the students who attended the talk were from the senior cohorts of the psychology programme in IMU.

Dr Kelly was also in IMU to meet with members of the psychology faculty to strengthen their relationship and look at ways for further collaboration.

Dr Kelly gained his Honours degree from Edinburgh in 1992 and doctoral degree from Glasgow in 1998. He has held research posts at the Universities of Aberdeen and Glasgow, the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, London and ATR-Human Information Processing Laboratories in Kyoto, Japan. He came to Strathclyde in June, 2004 from a lectureship at the University of Keele. His primary area of interest is in implicit learning. Dr Kelly is the Vice-Chair of the University Ethics Committee and the Course Leader for the BA degree in Psychology.
