The Diagnostic Lecture series is an annual continuing professional development (CPD) programme organised by the IMU’s Division of Applied Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology (ABSB). This year, ABSB has again successfully organised the Diagnostic Lecture Series 2022: Molecular Diagnostics on 22 and 23 August 2022 via the Zoom platform. The event hosted 88 participants from both industry and academia, including IMU students, academicians, clinical laboratory personnel and executives from medical diagnostic and life science companies. The CPD programme aimed to support lifelong learning and career development in diagnostic laboratory science, as well as to enhance essential knowledge and skills in the field of molecular diagnostics among participants.
As recent developments in molecular diagnostics profoundly impact healthcare delivery, the CPD was designed as a timely platform to introduce new insights and cutting-edge expertise through an exploration of clinical applications and advanced technologies in molecular diagnostics.
