IMU Pharmaceutical Chemistry Alumna Awarded IKM Graduate Chemistry Medal

An International Medical University (IMU) Pharmaceutical Chemistry Alumna, Cheng Miaw Chin, was awarded the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (IKM) Graduate Chemistry Medal at the IKM 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Malam Kimia 2017 held on 8 December 2017 at Sime Darby Convention Centre. She pursued her Bachelor Science (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2014-2017) and graduated with a First Class Honours in November 2017. Besides the IKM Graduate Chemistry Medal, she was also the recipient of the Tun Zahir Merit Award.

Miaw Chin said, “First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to IMU for nominating my name to Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) for the Graduate Chemistry Medal 2017. As a recipient of this prize, I am thrilled to receive this prize in recognition of my academic achievements.”

“I believe that the high quality education provided by IMU has contributed to these awards. IMU has provided a great platform for learning and knowledge acquisition, along with the most caring, supportive and experienced academic staff members. Lastly, I would like to thank all the lecturers for their patience, teaching and guidance throughout my time in IMU, equipping me with invaluable knowledge and skills for my future career.”
