IMU Squash Team Played Well at the IPT 1Malaysia Squash Circuit Tournament and Grand Final

26 – 29 November 2015IMU Squash Club sent a contingent of 11 players to compete against 240 squash players from universities all around Malaysia at the 3rd Circuit of the IPT 1Malaysia Squash Circuit Tournament held at Bukit Jalil National Squash Center. Members of this team were Jeremy Wong Xiu Yu, Amanda Koh Jia En, Lee Jia Jing, Daniel Tan Kong Keng, Benjamin Wong Ngie Xiong, Ali Redha, Daphne May Kho, Kaylee Gan Ju Tshin, Loh Wei Chee, Jonathan Chua and Wong Cheun Seng 3 students performed exceptionally well and landed top 8 positions, including 4th and 7th place in Women Division 2, and 7th place in Men Division 3B. The IMU Squash Club would like to once again thank IMU and the Student Services Department for the continuous support in the training programmes. S1S2S3 11–13 December 2015 – Following the past 3 circuits, IPT 1 Malaysia Squash Circuit Tournament held its Grand Final at University Malaya. The Grand Final was restricted to players who achieved decent rankings from all 3 circuits. 2 students from IMU Squash Club, Lee Jia Jing and Daniel Tan Kong Keng, managed to qualify and participate in the Grand Final. Both students performed well and managed to land 8th and 10th placing in Women Division 2 and Men Division 3B respectively. Moreover, both players emerged as Overall Champions in their divisions, collecting the most amount of points across all 4 circuits. IMU Squash Club would like to thank IMU and the Student Services Department as this achievement could not have been possible without the continuous support from both parties. The Club will resume its training programme and look forward to better results in 2016.
